Hotel Chicoutimi

Great spot, great view. Comfortable condos. There is a beautiful beach on the lakefront with jacuzzi/sauna for hot days and indoor pool/jacuzzi for colder days. Near the bike paths and lots to do nearby. Family friendly. Only downside are that the condos equipments are a bit lacking or kitchen basics which can be a challenge when cooking but nothing too drastic. Strongly recommend the place.

Room was spacious and clean. The breakfast included (A la carte) was great. The service was good. The gym was a little small but with the treadmills, bike, and weights it was enough to keep healthy habit during your hotel stay. The only negative point would be the shower drain was slow to drain while you shower ( the bath tub would fill will water) but thats an easy fix. We had a good 3 nights stay and would comeback again.

Nice hotel right in downtown. It's a bit older but the rooms are nice clean and functional. Reception is great. Had breakfast there which was extremely good and staff very helpful. Got upgraded to a Riverview room with full length windows which I was grateful for. Free parking at rear. Recommended.

Great location (to restaurants and the habour), secure parking, standard rooms (although could do with some maintanence - especially the bathrooms). Breakfast was good.

We rented a room for the night of May 9-May 10. They recently renovated their hotel. I was happy the room was clean. Excellent service at the front desk. I had my dog and the hotel is pet friendly. They charge $40/ night for your animals. I also liked that it is close to everything.

A nice, modern, boutique hotel in downtown Chicoutimi. Government/military rates are available. Some of the rooms have a great view of the river and the cathedral. There is a very small gym with limited equipment available. There are a many stairs to enter the building, so it’s not very user friendly for wheelchairs or strollers. The rooms were recently renovated, with modern, elegant decor. There are several great restaurants in the building, which offer room service. Reception staff speak English, which is extremely rare in the region. I’ve stayed here several times, and it’s always been a pleasant experience.

For the price paid, this hotel beat expectations. It’s next to water walkway with nice decor inside. The lobby is clean and the room has bed, sofa, small table with chairs, mini fridge and microwave. The decor looks professional and the view from 4th floor was great (see pic)! This hotel is an ideal central location to stay with fjord (about hour away) [tip: the better view of fjord is not the visitor center, but rather L’Anse-de-Tabatière] and whale watching near Tadoussac (about 1.5 hours away). As far as food, the hotel is conveniently located next to restaurants (Georges was a great place to eat on the other side of street). Breakfast is by the menu, included in stay, with a modern room to eat (see pics). There is also walkway near river for a nice stroll in morning. Overall a great hotel!

had a wonderful experience at Hotel Chicoutimi de Saguenay. From the moment I arrived, the staff was truly welcoming, kind, and professional. They made me feel comfortable and at home. The environment was clean, peaceful, and well organized. The service was excellent, and the team was always ready to help with a smile. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.
